In 1883 Captain Frazier drilled for water in Carlsbad and he hit a mineral springs with natural occurring alkaline water. This charming city was named after the famous spa city of Karlovy Vary or Carlsbad situated in western Bohemia, Czech Republic because of the similarity of their water. Both Carlsbad’s were well acquainted with the benefits of alkaline water.
