Local Business Communities working together for the benefit of all! – Carlsbad Food Tours working with local businesses & The Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce.  We are a new business in town and have been working closely with the Chamber of Commerce, as well as many of the local restaurants. Carlsbad Food Tours is a 3 hour guided walking tour with tastings at 7 unique eateries and wine tasting. We also included historical and cultural presentation during the tour.  A Guided Walking Tour in Carlsbad. been a wonderful experience working with so many other Carlsbad local businesses.

Chamber promotes a feeling of togetherness for the businesses.  Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce established: 1923 The chamber is a non-profit organization. The numbers: 2nd largest chamber in San Diego County 10th largest chamber in the state of California More than 1,600 members   The Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce is honored to host the region’s business and civic leaders at a wide range of events throughout the year: Coffee Connection The Coffee Connection meets the second Friday of each month 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. Sundowner    Monthly happy hour meeting to encourage business to business connections Chamberpl8tes Provides an opportunity for 8 chamber members to meet for breakfast or lunch and learn more about each other’s businesses. A Carlsbad Chamber member hosts and facilitates the chamberpl8tes at a local chamber member restaurant in order to provide an in depth networking opportunity for a small group of members. chamberpl8tes are an extension of the regular First Friday program without a speaker. Each facilitator has completed a training class. First Friday Breakfast It is the Chamber’s premiere networking and business promotional event, and one of the most regularly attended monthly programs. Tabletop exhibits or Soapbox presentations are available to promote your business. State of the City The Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce and the City of Carlsbad invite you to join City Council, and chamber business leaders for a progress report on current and future City programs. It will cover subjects like starting a business, licenses and permits, insurance, taxes and small business resources. Once published, the guide will be mailed to 25,000 companies in San Diego County. Advertising opportunities and sponsorship packages are still available. Those who buy a full-page advertisement will get to write a full-page informational article that also will run in the guide. The educational piece will be a one-stop comprehensive resource of information that will be useful at any company’s stage of development.

Chamber Committees Connect You To Business: For many Chamber members, joining a committee is the best way to get involved in the Chamber and the Carlsbad business community. Participating on a committee is a great opportunity to meet other members and begin building valuable business relationships. Committee leaders and members are the backbone of the Chamber’s success. Chamber members are welcome to join committees at any time, and with several committees to choose from, there is something for everyone. If you would like more information, please contact the Chamber at (760) 931-8400 or the committee chairs, whose numbers are listed below. Meetings are held at the Chamber office unless otherwise noted.

The committees are: Ambassador Committee –  Performs public relations functions for the Chamber. Acts as host for the Chamber at special events, ribbon cuttings, and open houses, and volunteers at the monthly Sundowner. Meets at 7:30 a.m. on the second Wednesday of the month.

Business Resource Committee –  Presents educational and promotional the popular First Friday networking breakfasts and educational seminars. This committee also coordinates a Speaker’s Bureau. Meets 7:30 a.m., first Tuesday of the month.

Education Committee – Works to enhance the educational experience by linking academics, business and community to promote real world learning, support partnerships, and encourage and celebrate educational excellence in our schools. Meets at 7:30 a.m. on the fourth Wednesday of the month.

Government Affairs Committee – Monitors and acts on local, state, and federal legislation. Develops relationships with public officials to ensure business input and representation at all levels of government. Ready Carlsbad Business Alliance – The mission of the Ready Carlsbad Business Alliance (RCBA) is to promote business emergency preparedness, continuity of operations and community recovery through services, educational programs and cooperative partnerships. Meets at 7:30 a.m. on the second Friday of the month.

North County Young Professionals – A new group made up of members ages 21-39 from the Carlsbad, Oceanside, San Marcos and Vista chambers of Commerce. NCYP provides events focusing on business networking and professional development.

Sustainability Committee-  Acknowledging a changing world, the Sustainability Committee seeks to find and promote the appropriate balance between the economic, environmental and social aspects of the community to ensure sustainability for current and future generations. The Committee meets on the second Tuesday of each month.

Technology Advisory Committee – Educates Chamber members on the use of technology and how it can benefit their business. This is accomplished by presenting free workshops on various topics during each committee meeting. Also keeps the chamber on the cutting-edge of technology in order to better serve its members. The Technology Advisory Committee meets at 7:30 a.m. on the third Tuesday of the month. Workshops are from 8 to 9 a.m. on the third Tuesday of the month.
