Local Picnic Food Favorites

Need help deciding what to bring?

Some of my favorite picnic takeout options include:

  • Sandwiches from Board & Brew
  • Mexican delights from Senor Grubby’s
  • Fresh pastries from The Goods
  • Mediterranean dishes from Village Kabob
  • Fresh salads and wraps from Choice Juicery
  • Pizza from Pizza Port
  • Create your own Charcuterie board from local markets (Baron’s)

Supporting local restaurants while enjoying Carlsbad’s parks is a wonderful way to experience the community.

Cherimarie’s Local Perspective

One of my favorite things about Carlsbad is how easy it is to turn an ordinary lunch into something memorable. I will grab takeout from one of our wonderful local restaurants and head to the beach or Batiquitos Lagoon. Some days I want to hear the waves crashing along the shoreline, while other days I prefer the quiet beauty of the lagoon. No matter where you choose, it’s a wonderful reminder that some of life’s best moments are also the simplest.
