Cherimarie’s Reflection
One of my favorite things to do is ride my e-bike from Aviara down to the South Carlsbad campgrounds. It’s one of those rides that reminds me why I love living here. The ocean is always nearby, the breeze is refreshing, and every turn seems to offer another beautiful view.
Whenever friends visit from out of town, this is one of the first places I bring them. Standing on the bluffs overlooking the Pacific, it’s easy to understand why so many people fall in love with Carlsbad.
Then & Now
Years ago, much of South Carlsbad remained open coastline, with wide beaches and natural bluffs stretching toward Encinitas. While the community has grown, careful conservation efforts have preserved much of its natural beauty.
