At the beginning of many tours, I like to ask our guests a simple question.

“Before today, what was Carlsbad famous for in your mind?”

Most people smile and answer:

“LEGOLAND.”

They’re all wonderful answers.

But at the end of the tour, I ask a different question.

“Now what will you tell your friends Carlsbad is famous for?”
